Communication with Sewing Machine

Transfer Rate - try selecting (or de-selecting) this option.  Try to send to card 2-3 times before changing the option. Typically, fast transfer rate should be selected for the more recent Windows versions (98, ME, 2000, XP).

Sometimes, you will see the error message regarding no communications-- even minutes after you have sent a design to the sewing machine.  Try 2-3 times to send to card.

Is the port active in Device Manager? You may need to install the port in windows.  If you need assistance, contact your computer manufacturer's help desk.

If you know you have selected the correct COM port, do you have another device (serial mouse, modem) that is also using this port (conflict)?  You cannot use two even (COM2, COM4) or odd (COM1, COM3) at the same time.  If you need assistance, contact your computer manufacturer's help desk.

On newer computers with USB ports, you can use a USB to serial connection. Belkin markets this type of device.

If you still experience problems, please see  http://www.pfaff-us-cda.com/about/faq_007.html .
